In 2006, Rocky Mountain Medical Legal Consultation, Inc. opened, as a consulting business for defense and prosecution attorneys. Most consults deal with the effects of ethanol, legal and illegal drugs, and medical conditions of clients (including chronic pain). The following services are provided. Affidavits that interpret laboratory analyses and other forensic tests are offered. A clear explanation of medical and forensic data is given in a non-threatening, practical manner which may help attorneys glean important information so that they may better serve their clients. Interpretations and pitfalls of the Intoxilyzer 5000 tests are provided, as well as Widmark calculations for DUI and Dram Shop cases.
